The National Cultural Foundation is using this down time in the absence of a Crop Over Festival and the National Independence Festival of Creative Arts, NIFCA to reassess the state of the festival and the cultural sector.
Chief Executive Officer, Carol Roberts-Reifer in light of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic remains upbeat, noting there are opportunities in every challenge.
The NCF boss comments came during a webinar, the Pivot Series, the Future of Festivals organized by the Inter-American Development Bank.
Mrs Roberts-Reifer reiterated the decision to cancel the 2020 Crop Over festival was taken in the best interest of Barbadians.
She adds that government meanwhile is providing training across several disciplines in the arts and cultural sectors.
