Kim Kardashian Tries To Block Novel About Her And Ray J’s Infamous Sex Tape

Kim Kardashian can’t seem to escape her past. A new report suggests that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star and her team are attempting to stop the release of an upcoming nobel titled “Post Famous” that will be based on her sextape scandal with ex-boyfriend, Ray J.

According to PageSix, the book, which is penned by former family confidant Kevin Dickson, follows a main character named Zia Zandrian, who bears a striking resemblance to the KKW Cosmetics founder. Further sparking speculations that it is about Kim, the novel will see Zia Zandrian selling her sex tape for $5 million at the urging of her mother.

“It seemed a dead certainty that the deal would happen [with that publisher],” an insider said, “Another author [who writes for] the same publisher even reached out to Kev to say that they were excited because they’d heard that they were [now both] going be published by the same company.”

The source, however, noted that Kevin got a sudden and unexpected “polite pass.” Insiders at the publishing house went on to say that they’d been told that if they published the book, they’d face a legal backlash, adding that “it wouldn’t be worth the hassle.” Despite that, Kevin is allegedly in talks with two other houses as well as a studio that is interested in a making a TV adaptation of the novel.

Kim made headlines back in 2007 after Vivid Entertainment released the infamous sex tape featuring Kim and Ray J. Denying persistent rumors that Kris Jenner was involved in its sale, founder Steven Hirsch called the rumors “nonsense.” However, he confirmed that his company paid Kardashian to release the footage, and stayed silent regarding rumors her fee was as much as $5 million.
