Iggy Azalea has deactivated her social media accounts including Instagram and Twitter on Monday (27th May) after a nude photo of her leaked online.
The rapper has spoken out and responded to her nudes, that were taken from a GQ photoshoot, were exposed online.
In a now-deleted post, Iggy revealed that she was “surprised and angry” about her nude photos being leaked. She revealed that those photos were not supposed to be released. The star also mentioned that she will be pressing criminal charges.
Iggy issued a statement online where she said:
“Today I’m a ball of negative emotions,” she wrote. “I feel blindsided, embarrassed, violated, angry, sad and a million other things. Not solely because I did not consent to this — but also because of the vile way people have reacted.”
She continued: “A lot of the comments I see from men in particular taking things even further and sharing their thoughts and fantasies in regards to my body has honestly disturbed me.”
The “Sally Walker” rapper added:
“The outright wicked things people say is overwhelming & makes me feel like throwing up”.
“If you’ve ever been humiliated before in front of family & those you care about maybe you can relate to what I’m going through.”
She closed the statement by revealing:
“It’s like a nuclear bomb that explodes and not only destroys you emotionally, but leaves a path of destruction in your personal life, effecting your relationships & people who matter most too.”
The naked photo of Iggy leaked over the weekend and Iggy confirmed the photos were taken from a previous photoshoot with GQ Australia “Woman Of The Year” issue from December 2016.
Azalea was photographed braless in a wet t-shirt. However, the star was also photographed completely topless in several photos during the shoot.
The photographer from the shoot has also spoken out since the photos leaked.
