Born on the beautiful island of Barbados, Kirk Brown is one of the brightest stars on the Caribbean’s musical horizon. He is an award-winning singer, music producer, deejay, model, brand spokesperson and businessman.
With musical and vocal training throughout his youth Kirk Brown began his performing career as the vocalist for several local bands including “4 D People” & “Blaze” in early 2004. True to his dynamic personality and passion Kirk founded his own band – “Strategy The Energy Band” shortly thereafter in November of 2004. With Brown at the helm, Strategy quickly became one of the youngest and hottest Caribbean live bands, making tremendous strides globally, with tours and performances spanning from the Caribbean islands to the United Kingdom.
As a solo artiste, Brown’s career has been unstoppable. He has shared the stage with major international stars including Ne-Yo, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Rihanna, Trey Songz, Gyptian, J Cole, Beenie Man, Fat Joe, Maxi Priest, Tessane Chin, Baby Cham, T.O.K and more. While being nominated for several Barbados Music Awards since its inception in 2006, he won Music Video of the year (Male) for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010 despite being nominated against more internationally known acts. In 2009 he won the Award of Excellence in Entertainment at the Barbados Tourism Awards, and was awarded third place in the Barbados National HIV/AIDS Song Competition in 2008.
His most recent collaborations include “Take Your Time” feat. Vybz Kartel & produced by JonFx of the “Hold Ya” - Gyptian fame; "Dutty Wine” feat. Fat Man Scoop; "Wine Like Dat" feat. Lil Rick and produced by Dwaingerous - musical director of the Machel Montano HD band, and "Midnight Lover" with Jeri-Marie (niece of Sting from the Police).
While claiming his stake in today’s music industry, Kirk Brown is also a well accomplished actor, model and entrepreneur. In October 2009, Brown modeled alongside America’s Next Top Model Season 11 winner, Mckey Sullivan, at Barbados’ ACF Fashion show. He has also played major roles in several local theater productions as well as participated in a Barbadian reality show. In 2006, Brown established Good-Vybz Inc., a multifaceted entertainment company created to develop and promote Barbadian artistes, live acts & recorded works, globally.
Having won awards regionally and achieved recognition as a singer, deejay, model, actor and successful businessman, Barbadian born Kirk Brown has only just begun his very promising career. His sights are set on the international world of entertainment.
'All the world's a stage' and Kirk Brown fully intends to perform on it.
