USHER is a braver man than I thought - he's taking RIHANNA on in the bedroom.

I had him down as a bit of a soft lad but the Bajan singer's love of whips and chains didn't put him off pulling her at Coachella last weekend.

After getting stuck in at the festival in California, the singers had a secret date at a hotel in New York this week.

They did their best to keep it under wraps but their cover was blown by one of Usher's own team.

A source said: "They had a really good time together last weekend and wanted to see each other again somewhere private straight after.

"They've known each other for a long time but it's always been bad timing.

"They've had a few long, passionate kisses. There's definitely a spark between them.

"It would have been too obvious to go somewhere in LA and they were both going back to New York for work commitments."

Fair play to Rihanna, who recently admitted she likes to be "tied up and spanked", enjoying life as a single girl.

The flame-haired singer exchanged flirty messages with COLIN FARRELL earlier this year after meeting on GRAHAM NORTON's chat show before Christmas.

They went out for dinner but it fizzled out after that.

You'd think the Irish swordsman would keep her more entertained than Usher though, who always seems a bit of a square.
