 Dj Ras gripped the airwaves and party scene in 2008 when he competed and won both the 98.1 and Baje International Deejay Search competitions.

As a result, he was signed by South Central Entertainment and given a 6-month contract with CBC.  Two years later, Ras has earned his stay at 98.1 and has risen to be one of the islands leading party deejays.

Dj Ras has completed training in the use of the program “Simian”, correct interviewing techniques, news and script reading, on and off air broadcasting techniques including diction, pronunciation, fluency, correct breathing etc. and the correct use of the microphone and control of the levels on the mixing board.

His current experience includes 2 years as a free-lance announcer and numerous outside broadcasts (both as an announcer and as a host). Some of his out door broadcasts include Party Monarch finals, Cohoblopot, Bridgetown Market, several CBC Socaholic parties and celebrity airport greetings.

“RAS” has also become quite a sensation in the dj party scene and is undoubtedly one of the most requested deejays at events all over the island.
