The word that best describes Dj Kashi is ‘Versatile’.

This young Dj is musically experienced, having been exposed to various genres of music from an early age.

For almost 10 years, Kashi has played at some of the top spots in Barbados including Baku, Boatyard, Ship Inn, Jumbies, McBride’s as well as countless private events. The diversity of the audiences that he has entertained helped with his development throughout the years, meaning that no demographic is outside of his range.

Since joining the team at 98.1 The One in January 2009, this Mass Communications graduate has quickly developed as a broadcaster thanks to his then co-host Teshia Hinds as well as the other members of the team.

A multiple NIFCA Literary Arts award winner, Kashi combines his skilful use of word with the smooth blend of music daily to entertain his listeners.

Now fully settled in his role at the station, Dj Kashi continues to grow from strength to strength, while still maintaining the humble nature which is embedded within.

While he has hit the stage at many events, and now has the attention of thousands of listeners, Kashi still has the most fun while DJing at an old fashioned house party or just liming with friends.
