Rihanna lights up a suspicious roll-up cigarette as she unwinds in Barbados

Dripping with bling, masquerading in a devilish wardrobe and lurking beneath a charade of hair extensions, fans rarely get an insight into the 'real' Rihanna.
However, the Russian Roulette star laid it all to bare during her latest trip back to  Barbados.
The 24-year-old suffered a personal tragedy earlier this month, revealing her sorrow via Twitter that her beloved grandmother Dolly had died following a long battle with cancer.

With the popstar returning home for the funeral this week, it seems life amongst friends and the beautiful backdrop of the ocean has aided her in lifting her spirits again.

It seems smoking a certain suspicious rolled-up cigarette may have relaxed her even further.
Rihanna has made no secret of her affections for marijuana in the past, tweeting earlier this year: 'Kush rolled, glass full...I prefer the better things.'
Kush refers to a type of cannabis found mainly in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

 Dressed in a pink bikini, the make-up free Grammy-winner was seen smiling as she tilted her head back and let out a natural laugh.
She was also seen smoking as she relaxed on an outdoor balcony, wearing a navy bucket hat à la Nineties Britpop style.
The songbird is said to be staying at an ultra exclusive west coast villa for the princely sum of $6,300 per night.
Rather poignantly, Rihanna retweeted a message today from business magnate and Def Jam label co-founder Russell Simmons.

The US entreprenuer, who also created clothing line Phat Farm, wrote: 'Anyone whose mission is keeping people apart is swimming against a very strong tide.'
Of course, she could be referring to the recent passing of her 'Gran Gran Dolly'.
Or even ex-lover Chris Brown.

 Their romance came to an abrupt end when he pleaded guilty to felony assault for beating her up on Grammy night 2009.
Yet the pair are said to be courting again, with Brown's jealousy the cause for a recent bar brawl with love rival Drake at W.i.P. club in New York.
Whatever her recent dramas, being in her natural habitat away from the farce of showbiz, seems to be doing Rihanna the world of good.
Addressing her fans on Twitter, Rihanna seemed to have found peace, tweeting: #grangranDOLLY? I know you smiling down on me brightly, I could feel it in the sunshine ?#1Love? forever'.
